91 integra ls , Changed brakes but now emergency brake not tight enought?

i have a 91 integra ls, when i used to pull the hand/ emergency brake it was so tight it would literally skid the tires, they startded squeaking so i changed the brake pads in the back and now there fine, but now when i pull the hand brake it holds tight but not as tight as before, what could ive done wrong , someone please help ?
