I need fantasy readers' opinion...?

I'm writing a series and I have the general plot but I can't figure out weather I should have six, seven, or eight books in the series. I'm leaning away from seven but that's just because it seems like alot of clic series (Chronicles of Narnia, Harry Potter, ect.) have seven books. What do you think I should do?
