What can I do for a wild baby hawk/falcon seen in yard?

I took my dog out last night to potty and I seen a baby bird in the yard that does not look wounded just looks like he may of fell out of his nest and cannot fly he is a good size baby bird but hops to fast to try and capture him. My husband and I tried to get a better look at him to see if he was wounded and he didn't seem hurt but hopped away quickly, so this morning I go take my dog out again and the bird is back yet he see's us and again hops and hides in bushes. We lost track of him when we came in the house to get him something to eat. So again we went out an hour again and he seems to be here still what can or should I do? he is to fast to try and catch him yet I am scared he is easy prey and will get caught. My husband says his mother can be watching near by as well and may attack if she hears the baby cry. So please any advice would be appreciated, I am an animal lover and am sorry this is a long question.
