Applying to naval or air force academy?

Your physical fitness and activities are really great. Your Dad's service qualifies you for a Presidential nomination so even though you should apply, you don't have to sweat getting a Congressional nomination. Gold Award is worth a lot of points. Two things to work on: get that GPA to the 3.75; 3.2 is too low (but what's your weighted average? Since you've got AP & IB cles the weighted GPA is actually more meaningful); and retake your SAT and try to improve your math score. I had similar activities and SAT (760 verbal/610 math) and had appointments to both USNA & USAFA. BTW, you don't major in aviation, that's something you select your senior year and train for after graduation and commissioning. If you really want to be a pilot, I realize it's a bit counter-intuitive but your chances to be an aviator are generally much better at USNA rather at USAFA. I think your chances are really excellent as you have a very solidly rounded background with high achievement in all areas.
