Tomato Plant - Broken Off Stem/Branch?

My tomato plant has sprouted a second main branch and due to its weight and the fact that we didn't secure it in time, it has bent over and is very nearly snapped off. We have tried to keep it supported to keep it together but all of the leaves on that branch are now wilted and appear to be dying. Should I just snip that branch off and hope that the rest of the plant continues to florish?
