What exercises really do work?

I just want to lose 10 pounds, but Im tired of all these dietary plans, some people don't have the money to buy all the food, or just food in general. All I want to know if anyone knows exercises that do work, and how many times I have to do them. Like for my thighs, arms, and stomach. Just really effective exercises. Thank you.
