My publisher is being a *****?

today was the "due-date" for my most recent book and i couldnt make it. i have good reasons too: my animals were in a horrible, gory accident and my best friend just had a baby. i was working hard to not let my hardships show in my writing, but it didnt work so i asked for one more week and my publisher is being a *****. i cant just tell her **** off (though i did tell her to shove it and hung up on her once). what should i do, she'll only give me three days!
